Research
Stars probe a variety of physical conditions: from a Fermi sea, through an ideal gas, and to almost pure radiation.
Stellar evolution requires understanding various processes such as nuclear reactions, hydrodynamics, statistical mechanics, and the interaction between photons and matter.
Our group uses a combination of analytical derivations and state-of-the-art numerical calculations to study a variety of problems in stellar evolution. Most of these problems are motivated by recent puzzling observations.
